HIM BRASIL: – First of all, we would like to introduce you the Brazilian fan site of Him (http://www.himbrasil.com.br). It was created in 2003, and has now more than 4000 visit per month. Do you know anything about our fan site?
Mige: actually i just checked it out now.looks nice, loads of nice pictures.especially the old ones.too bad time leaves such a horrible scars on the male fissix. site?s really cool and i hope it has brought some people together and maybe forged new friendships.it?s been known to happen and i personally think it?s the most beautiful thing about fansites, street teams etc.
HB: 2 - The forthcoming record will be released on September 26 and 27 internationally. Where and when will the "Dark Light" tour start? It is rumoured to be the US and possibly with The 69 eyes, is this correct? Are you planning anything special for this tour?
Mige: we are starting late late august by doing a nice little promo trip in europe.our manager seppo has designed this month long tour, and therefor we can assume that it will be a trip to the darkest dungeons of human existence.we will bask in the power of the darkness, writhe in satanic rupture, and probe the primitive lizardous corners of our brains.i can only hope it doesn?t involve any sexual activity like last time.no seriously now..our actual tour starts in the USA in october-november.there are some plans to play in mexico city, and maybe somewhere in latin america but none of that is confirmed yet.and no, we won?t be playing with 69eyes.there will be bands called finch and skindred as far as i know.i?m planning to have some decent spirit on that tour, thats all i can say.thats hard enough so lets call it a special thing!
HB: 3 - Do you feel that "Dark Light" is going to be the album that is of course internationally released but do you feel that this album will give you world renowned success, including in the America where many have hoped to hear your music on the radio and see you play live shows?
Mige: success is, or at least it should be, irrelevant.but wouldn?t it be nice to go around a bit and play some exotic places?at least it should be!!lets see..but dark light is a fine fine album and i?m pretty confident to give it a good go in places that we?ve never been before.
HB: 4 - Many fans of HIM appreciate the dark love themes that the former albums have contained. Many have expressed that they hope "Dark Light" will hold the same theme but grace the stage on a different plane. Do you believe "DL" to be an extreme different sound that your fans will take in or it to closer to its predecessors? What do you think your fans are going to feel about this record and the way it approaches you and the public?
Mige: DL..haw haw..excuse me, just and old, dirty private joke..u know that letters D and L can mean whole bunch of things, not just D ark L ight?!ok, i?ve noticed that whenever we change our sound some people find it a bit unpleasent.especially people who have liked our previous albums.but whatta hell, u can?t do the same thing twice if u want to keep going.so, yes, i do think that this record sounds different to the previous ones.hope this won?t be too disappointing.it has similar atmospherics like deep shadows and brilliant highlights album.but this time around its little more controlled, so the fragmented ozonelayer of the notorious HIM-atmosphere doesn?t fry up all the heaviness in the music.did anyone understand that?i didn?t..so here?s what we do:u go to some nice internet address, give it a good listen.if u think its crap..well fuck it!!if you really like it, then go to a record store and buy official copy.has to be official, not bootleg, or else uncle Sam will take Gas? volvo away and we can?t purchase nice flat screen TV?s. and our A&R person at warner?s will be fired.goddamn this sounds terrible, but during the course of my life i?ve come to conclusion that honesty is the best way to deal with everybody else but the taxman.
HB: 5 - You have plenty of fans in Brazil, some of the local bands playing your songs, buying your records, and any merchandise with a heartagram impressed. The Brazilian fans are craving to see you live for the first time. Any prevision to play in Brazil? What do you know about Brazil or about Brazilian rock bands?"
Mige: i guess gas would be right person to answer this question.he knows good deal about bands from all around the globe.he also knows everything about ice hockey.too bad he can?t read..and it?s extremely unfortunate that he has tiniest penis i?ve ever seen.well, yin and yang u know.ok, i know sepultura of course.they are brazilian right?!but apart from that, nada.so i guess it would be good to come and play there for educational reasons too.oh, i do know there?s a big samba carnival in Rio, where u get to see titties.do you think they would like us to play there?!oh, i didn?t think so either.but i?m sure there will be time and place for gothic tittie freaks to perform there as well.and maybe..JUST maybe..have few grandes Mojitos on copacabana.
